Getting kids moving, using simple painted games

Human Movement Science students undertook the challenge of promoting physical activity and school sport at three primary schools in PE: Sapphire Road, Charles Duna and Machiu Primary. Students obtained sponsorships and together with teachers, created physical activity-friendly environments at these schools, using simple painted games, play circuits, small equipment. Students and teachers worked over the September holidays at these schools. In addition, the HMS students conducted leadership camps for prefects, and facilitated sports coaching. This forms part of the PASSPORT to health project initiated by Dr Cheryl Walter in 2010.
