The Nelson Mandela University joined the FIFA/CIES Sport Management International Network in 2007 and over the years has developed a stellar reputation as being at the forefront of Sport Management Education across South Africa and Africa.

The African States Bowls tournament was held in Orapa in Botswana from the 23^rd to the 26^th of September 2024. Dezi played in the fours and pairs disciplines. SA clinched Gold in both.
