Human Movement Science

Dr Maryna Baard a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Movement Science along with her partner Martin Truscott finished 10th  out of 115 entrants in the grueling Sani2C paired mountain bike race held over 3 days from the 15th to the 17th of May 2014.

This race covers a distance of 270 km and a total ascent of 4540m. Sani2C attracts many local and international competitors to this beautiful region of South Africa. The organisers of the Sani2C through associated sponsorships and media interest aim to promote tourism and conservation of the area. By co-involvement of the local communities the organisers also strive to create awareness of the natural assets of the area and the preservation of it.

Congratulations Dr Baard we are proud of you!
