Dezi Rosenblatt a Biokineticist working in the Biokinetics and Sport Science Unit at the Nelson Mandela University was selected to represent the Bowls South Africa Junior Team at the following Tiger Bowls World Invitation in Hong Kong, China 9th & 10th March 2019,  the World Invitation in Zhuhai, China 11-13 March and the World Invitation in Shenzen, China 14-16 March 2019. The team comprised of 4 ladies and 4 men all U/30 from across South Africa.

The Tiger Bowls World Invitation and the One Belt One Road Wold invitation tournaments took place over 10 days in Hong Kong where they won a bronze medal, Zhuhai (china) (Won silver) and Shenzen (China) (won Gold).

Dezi is currently a member of “The Woods” Bowls club in Port Elizabeth and has been playing bowls for 14 years. She started when she was 15 years old (2005) representing the u30 provincial sides since she was 16 years old. Dezi started playing Open provincials at the age of 17 and played for the Junior SA Squad (silver squad) since 2008. In 2017 she was selected for the Gold Squad. This is the top level squad in Bowls SA from which they select the Open Protea sides that represent SA at various international events. This squad also is not bound to an age group like the U30’s are.
