Dave Emslie and Vincent Monnier impress
Dave Emslie (CEO of Eastern province Cricket and the Chevrolet Warriors Franchise) and Vincent Monnier (Senior Manager for International Relations at CIES) were the guest speakers during the 2nd block of lectures of the NMMU 2010 edition students which ran from 6 to 11 December.
Dave gave the students a real life insider view of the successful sponsorship proposal that he presented to Chevrolet whilst Vincent addressed issues of management and governance relating to large sport organizations. Both presentations were exceptionally well received by the students.
In this week the students also completed the marketing and sport law modules presented by Dr John Burger and Advocate Daryl Newton.
A further highlight of the week was attending the certificate presentation ceremony of the 2009 edition group which took place on Friday 10 December at the Conference Centre of the NMMU.
On a sad note Jenevieve Fabre, our administrative coordinator for the past two years will be leaving to pursue other career prospects. She will be missed.
