The third year Sport Management students were very proud to handover, a vacuum cleaner, nappies and baby formula to Zanethemba Charity Foundation on Thursday the 7th of June 2018.

The students raised a profit of R3000 from the Soccer Charity Cup that was organized on the 11th and 12th of May 2018.

The Zanethemba children’s home is a safe haven for abused and abandoned children. Zanethemba aims to help give back to the children who are in need of clothing, food, shelter and parental love. The Zanethemba charity was chosen by the third year Sport Management students and is located in Walmer, Port Elizabeth.

The Nelson Mandela University Soccer Charity Cup was started in 2002, it is an annual school’s soccer tournament organised by the Nelson Mandela University’s third year Sport Management students. The objectives of the tournament are to provide a practical learning opportunity for the students, to help grow and develop soccer at grass root levels and also to give back to the community.
