In the realm of sports, success is often defined by the culmination of hard work and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His recent accomplishment in participating in the 2022 FIFA Master’s programme edition is a testament to his unwavering commitment to his education and his passion for sports management.

In 2013, Mr Dumbu concluded his diploma in Sport Management. Over the time interval between 2013 and 2016, he took part in some additional study in both Law and Marketing. Furthermore, in 2017, he decided to further his studies by enrolling in a Btech in Sport Management, which he successfully completed in 2019.

Completing his Cies Executive programme in Sport Management back in 2013 proved to be a great benefit for him, leading to his selection for the 2022 FIFA Masters programme.

The FIFA Master is a year-long educational programme that focuses into the realms of Humanities, Law and Management within the context of the sports environment.

Hosted across multiple countries including England, Italy, and Switzerland, the programme allows participants to engage in site visits, practical theories and unique cultural experiences.

Among the many highlights of the program, Mr. Dumbu found his visits to renowned sports venues and historical landmarks particularly inspiring. The opportunity to set foot in iconic locations like Milan, Leinster, Neuchatel, and even the legendary Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, left an indelible mark on him. These experiences not only enriched his understanding of sports management but also served as a reminder of the power of sports to bridge cultures and unite people worldwide. However, he encountered some difficulties along the way, one of which was adapting to the cultural differences between the various countries and the demands of the work.

In reflecting on his experience, Mr. Dumbu shared, “The FIFA Masters is by far the best program that anyone can get into within the sports industry. Getting to meet and work with professionals in the field was an unparalleled experience."

His dedication and perseverance have borne fruit as Mr. Dumbu successfully completed the 2022 FIFA Master's programme. The entire community of Nelson Mandela University extends its heartfelt congratulations to him. As he looks to the future, Mr. Dumbu's ambitions remain high. Yet, for the time being, he chooses to focus on what truly matters – spending quality time with his family, whose support and encouragement have undoubtedly been instrumental in his journey.
