Madibaz Artistic Swimmer Courtney Musson was in for a suprise after her heroic peromance of Six medals of one gold and five silver medals. The 24 year old has been anounced as one of the swimmers to represent South Africa in the FINA Senior World Championships, to be hosted Gwangju Korea in (July 12th – 28th 2019).

The team was announced on the 26th April 2019 by Swimming South Africa. This Was her Response to her achievement "This is achievement has been a year and a half of training in the making. Its been a really long and hard journey, as I have experienced quite a few setbacks (including an injuries) in between. The biggest thing for me, was to try and persevere through it and just remember the end goal of going to World Champs.  From now and leading into July, will require a lot of training, hard work and dedication on my side to make sure Im ready to compete at this international level. My local coach has played a large role in my preparation for the champs and she will continue to do so until, my team mates and I leave for Champs at the end of June. One of the goals for this competition, is to achieve a certain score for our routines and to show improvement from the last world championships, SA competed at in 2017.

I’m both nervous and excited to be part of this experience and I hope I’ll do my country proud alongside my team, when we compete in the team events" Concluded the 24 year old.
